We recently finished our summer art camp for kids in Kitchener! From August 21 to 25, our participants had the opportunity to engage in a multitude of creative activities, and we all had so much fun doing so!
To start off our days, we took advantage of a few sunny days to amble around in the beautiful Victoria park in Kitchener. Our campers had the chance to play around, have snacks, and engage in art classes outdoors. Students learned to observe, draw outsiden and did sketches of their surroundings.
On days where the gloom lingered, we stayed inside our Kitchener studio and led classes for students to improve other aspects of their creative abilities.
Fun activities were held all throughout the day and afternoon! Among the workshops participants joined, our students had the opportunity to experiment with acrylic paint, oil pastel, and frottage! One super fun activity even implied getting to draw on the pants of our instructor, Brynn! Kids got to develop their creativity by coming up with fun designs to embellish the piece of clothing.
Needless to say that with a week full of amusement, our time at art camp flew by!
Once Friday came around, the children worked as a team to put up all their artworks together, and have an exhibit! Parents then came around to admire the beautiful artworks created by their little artists, and look at how much their skills improved.

A huge thank you to everyone who played a role in the success of our program— both campers, parents, volunteers, and staff! We’re so glad our camp was a win for all!
