Art Lab: Cultural Patterns for Kids 8-12 years old in Kitchener Explore the World through Art Art is one of the most beautiful ways to explore the world! In this 4-week Art Lab, children will discover how different cultures use patterns, geometry, color, and design in their celebrations while learning to use rulers, triangles, compasses, and other drawing tools in a fun, creative way. Through hands-on mixed media projects, students develop visual thinking, creativity, confidence, and an understanding of how art, geometry, and culture connect. Every Art Lab features brand-new themes, projects, and creative challenges, making each course exciting for both new and returning students. 📍 Yulia ArtSpace – Downtown Kitchener 🎨 Ages 8–12 | All Levels Welcome 🗓 Wednesdays | November 11 – December 2, 2026 🕠 5:30–6:30 PM 🎟 4 Classes | All Supplies Included 🎨 What You'll Explore 🪔 Diwali Rangoli & Mehndi — Create colorful geometric patterns inspired by the Festival of Lights. 🕎 Hanukkah Patterns — Explore symmetry and design through decorative geometric artwork. 🍀 Celtic Knots — Discover flowing lines, rhythm, and interconnected patterns. 🌍 Kwanzaa Textile Patterns — Explore bold colors and repeating geometric designs inspired by African textile traditions. 🎨 Mixed Media + Creative Tools — Work with a variety of art materials while learning to use rulers, triangles, compasses, and circle makers to explore symmetry, geometry, and pattern design. ✨ Structure + Freedom Each class includes clear step-by-step guidance while encouraging children to experiment, solve problems, and create artwork that reflects their own ideas. 🏡 Bright, Welcoming Studio Our downtown Kitchener studio is a welcoming place where children can explore, create, and enjoy learning in a calm and supportive environment. 👩🎨 Small Groups + Individual Guidance With small class sizes, every child receives personal attention, encouragement, and support throughout each project. 🤝 Creativity + Community Children discover different cultures, share ideas, build confidence, and experience the joy of learning through creativity.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations & Credits All registrations are non-refundable. If you cancel your registration at least 7 days before the start of the session, the full amount may be transferred as an art credit toward future classes or camps. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the session begins are not eligible for credit. Exceptions may be considered in special circumstances at the studio’s discretion. Missed Classes Registration reserves your spot for the full session. Classes missed for personal reasons, including illness, travel, or other circumstances, are non-refundable and cannot be transferred as credit to a future session. When possible, you may join another appropriate group to make up a missed class. If this option is not available, we may offer one make-up class at the end of the session. Classes Cancelled by Yulia ArtSpace If a class is cancelled by Yulia ArtSpace, a make-up class or art credit will be provided. If the minimum number of participants has not been reached one week before the start of a class session or camp, the program may be cancelled. In this case, you will receive a full refund or may transfer your payment to another class or camp. Late Registration Late registration is welcome when space is available. Art Classes: You may join a session after it has started and pay only for the remaining classes. Art Camps: You may register during a camp week for the remaining available day(s) or half-day(s).
