Art Lab: Tree Patterns for 8β12 Year-Old Kids in Kitchener Explore the World through Art Art is one of the most exciting ways to explore nature! In this 4-week Art Lab, children will discover the fascinating world of trees through fun, hands-on mixed media projects while learning about leaf patterns, bark textures, seeds, tree structures, and botanical illustration. As they create, they'll develop observation skills, creativity, curiosity, and a deeper appreciation for the beauty and diversity of treesβespecially during the colorful fall season. Every Art Lab features brand-new themes, projects, and creative challenges, making each course exciting for both new and returning students. π Yulia ArtSpace β Downtown Kitchener π¨ Ages 8β12 | All Levels Welcome π Wednesdays | October 14 β November 4, 2026 π 5:30β6:30 PM π 4 Classes | All Supplies Included π¨ What You'll Explore π Leaf Patterns β Observe different leaf shapes, veins, and beautiful fall colors while creating botanical-inspired artwork. π³ Bark & Tree Textures β Discover bark patterns, tree rings, and natural textures through drawing, frottage, and mixed media techniques. π° Seeds, Pine Cones & Forest Treasures β Explore seeds, nuts, pine cones, and other treasures of the forest while creating colorful botanical compositions. π² Tree Botanical Illustration β Bring everything together in a finished botanical illustration inspired by the beauty, structure, and character of trees. π¨ Mixed Media Exploration β Work with a variety of art materials while developing observation skills, scientific curiosity, and creative expression. β¨ Structure + Freedom Each class includes clear step-by-step guidance while encouraging children to observe closely, experiment with different materials, and create artwork inspired by the natural world. π‘ Bright, Welcoming Studio Our downtown Kitchener studio is a welcoming place where children can explore, create, and enjoy learning in a calm and supportive environment. π©βπ¨ Small Groups + Individual Guidance With small class sizes, every child receives personal attention, encouragement, and support throughout each project. π€ Creativity + Community Children share ideas, explore nature through art, build confidence, and discover the joy of learning together in a creative and supportive group.
Upcoming Sessions
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations & Credits All registrations are non-refundable. If you cancel your registration at least 7 days before the start of the session, the full amount may be transferred as an art credit toward future classes or camps. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the session begins are not eligible for credit. Exceptions may be considered in special circumstances at the studioβs discretion. Missed Classes Registration reserves your spot for the full session. Classes missed for personal reasons, including illness, travel, or other circumstances, are non-refundable and cannot be transferred as credit to a future session. When possible, you may join another appropriate group to make up a missed class. If this option is not available, we may offer one make-up class at the end of the session. Classes Cancelled by Yulia ArtSpace If a class is cancelled by Yulia ArtSpace, a make-up class or art credit will be provided. If the minimum number of participants has not been reached one week before the start of a class session or camp, the program may be cancelled. In this case, you will receive a full refund or may transfer your payment to another class or camp. Late Registration Late registration is welcome when space is available. Art Classes: You may join a session after it has started and pay only for the remaining classes. Art Camps: You may register during a camp week for the remaining available day(s) or half-day(s).
