Fantasy Clay Horse for Adults Creative February Workshop — Clay Sculpting & Painting 📍 Downtown Kitchener Art Studio 🗓 Thursdays | February 6 & 13, 2026 | 5:30–7:30 PM 🎟 2-Week Workshop | All Supplies Included ✨ Beginner-Friendly — No Experience Required 👩‍🎨 Art Instructor — Yulia Balobanova Whether you’re celebrating creativity, Valentine’s Day, the Lunar Year of the Horse, or simply want a cosy February escape — this workshop invites you to sculpt and decorate your own fantasy clay horse. Come solo, with a friend, partner, or family member — everyone creates a unique piece. ✨ What We’ll Do Day 1 — Clay Sculpting We begin with a simple warm-up to feel the softness of clay and learn essential shaping techniques. Then we sculpt a stylized fantasy clay horse — a charming, characterful form with a simple, playful shape that’s fun and relaxing to create. Your finished sculpture will be around 5 inches, small enough to handle comfortably and large enough for expressive details. You’ll learn how to build a stable form, work with simple proportions, and shape the body, head, legs, mane, and tail. Your sculpture will dry naturally during the week. Day 2 — Painting & Decorating You’ll bring your dried clay horse to life using acrylic paint and Posca markers. We explore simple patterns, dots, leaves, floral accents, colour blocking, and expressive decorative elements. Every horse becomes a one-of-a-kind piece — playful, whimsical, and full of personality. 🎨 Creative Flow & Relaxing Process Clay sculpting is grounding and calming, and painting patterns is wonderfully meditative. This workshop is designed for joy, exploration, and creative freedom — no pressure, no perfection, just the pleasure of making art with your hands. 🏡 Bright, Welcoming Studio Our downtown Kitchener studio offers a warm, inspiring atmosphere — a cosy February evening to unwind, create, and enjoy colour. 👩‍🎨 Small Group & Supportive Atmosphere With 6–12 participants, you’ll receive personal guidance, gentle support, and plenty of space to explore your own style at a relaxed pace. 🤝 Art + Community A lovely chance to connect with others — solo participants, friends, couples, and family members.
