🎨 March Break Half-Day Art Camp for 6-12-year-old kids: Creativity without limits 📅 Monday–Thursday | 1:00–4:00 PM 📍 Downtown Kitchener Art Studio 👩‍🎨 Instructor: Marien de Freitas 👥 Small group — 12 students All supplies included 🎨 Creativity without limits Each day includes a guided art class with the instructor, followed by a variety of creative projects using a wide range of materials: paints, pastels, plasticine, clay, fabric, felt, yarn and threads, beads, natural materials, papers, markers, pencils, pens, and colourful mixed media. Children experiment with texture, colour, layers, and form, creating joyful artworks that grow from their imagination. At the end of the camp, we’ll hold a small art show for families to see the kids’ creations 🧠 Creative Thinking & Confidence This camp is perfect for children who enjoy focusing on art. Open-ended projects encourage imagination, personal style, and creative problem-solving, helping young artists grow confident in their ideas. 🖼️ Art & Community Kids create in a warm, friendly atmosphere where they naturally connect with like-minded peers. They share ideas, talk about their projects, and often form new friendships through the joy of making art together. 👩‍🎨 Individual Attention With only 12 students, every child receives gentle, thoughtful guidance from instructor Marien and art assistants. Support is personal, encouraging each artist’s interests and creative flow. 🏡 Bright, Welcoming Studio All activities happen indoors in our calm, light-filled studio — an inspiring, cozy space designed for creativity and ease. Important Information 🎨 Focused Creative Environment This camp suits children who enjoy art and can focus for a 3-hour creative session. 🥨 Snacks & Water Please send a nut-free snack, a filled water bottle, and indoor shoes. This is a Nut Aware camp — no products containing or possibly containing nuts. Children should not share food. 🏡 Indoor Program We stay indoors for the entire camp. Please label all personal items; we are not responsible for lost belongings. 🤒 Illness Policy If your child becomes ill during the day, you will be contacted for pick-up within 30–45 minutes. 📝 Pre-Camp Email One week before camp, you will receive forms and final details. Please ensure your email is active in the registration system. 👥 Minimum Registration If minimum numbers are not met 2 weeks before the start date, the camp will be canceled and families will be notified.
