🍂 Sketching for Adults Would you like to improve your drawing skills and learn how to use light, shadow, and perspective to create depth and bring sketches to life? This course is designed for adults who want to build strong sketching skills in a supportive and welcoming environment. Whether you're a beginner or have previous experience, you'll learn techniques that can be applied to sketchbooks, urban sketching, travel journals, and other creative projects. You'll learn how to observe shapes, understand light and shadow, and create a sense of space on paper through perspective drawing. These skills become the foundation for exploring color in winter and combining sketching and color through expressive sketchbook work in spring. ✏️ What You'll Explore — Graphite, charcoal, pens, markers, and black-and-white mixed media — Working on white, black, and toned paper — Light, shadow, contrast, and reflections — Depth, form, and volume — Composition and focal points — One-point, two-point, and simple three-point perspective — Sketching objects, flowers, trees, buildings, cityscapes, landscapes, and simple figures ✨ Structure + Freedom Each class combines clear instruction, practical drawing skills, and step-by-step guidance with plenty of room for personal creativity and individual interpretation. 🏡 Bright, Welcoming Studio Our downtown Kitchener studio is a calm and inspiring creative space with natural light, small groups, and a welcoming atmosphere — a place to slow down, focus, learn, and create. 👩‍🎨 Small Group | Individual Guidance 🤝 Art + Community Enjoy creating alongside other adults in a welcoming, supportive atmosphere where people share ideas, encourage one another, and enjoy the creative process together.
