❄️ Winter Sketching Classes for Adults in Kitchener 📍 Kitchener Downtown Art Studio 👩‍🎨 Instructor: Yulia Balobanova 🎨 Skill Level: Beginners & Continuing Students 🕰 Fridays | 12:30 – 2:30 PM 🎟 All Supplies Included Two unique 6-week sessions to keep your creativity flowing through winter: Session 1: January 9 – February 13, 2026 Session 2: February 20 – March 27, 2026 Each session includes 6 classes. You can join one or both — every session features new themes and techniques. ✨ About the Program Winter is a wonderful time to slow down and enjoy sketching indoors — warm light, cozy still life, and calm concentration. These classes will help you stay creative and focused through the season while learning to draw with clarity and confidence. Each class includes step-by-step instruction, demonstrations, and time for personal sketching. You’ll practice observing shapes, proportions, and tones — and discover how to express atmosphere and emotion through line and shading. ✏️ What You’ll Learn — Core sketching techniques with graphite, charcoal, and pen — Composition, proportions, and value studies — Texture and contrast: creating light, shadow, and form — Sketching from observation: objects, plants, interiors, and people — Adding subtle color with pastel and colored pencils — Different sketching styles — from realistic to expressive — Experimenting with special papers for tone and texture 🏡 A Calm, Inspiring Space Our bright downtown Kitchener studio offers a peaceful atmosphere to focus, learn, and connect with your creativity. 👩‍🎨 Small Group, Personal Attention Classes are limited to 5–12 adults for focused, friendly guidance at every level. 💬 Creative Community Enjoy the company of like-minded people who appreciate art, beauty, and quiet creativity. 📌 Each session features new projects and techniques — they do not repeat.
