Art classes for Kids 6-8 years old

Service Description

Spring Art classes for kids 6-8 years old in Kitchener Every session is different! Each art class we learn how to draw and paint. We use different materials - acrylic, watercolor, gouache, oil and soft pastels, color pencils, gel pens or mix them together. We also work with paper/fabric collages and model clay. Sometimes we focus only on drawing and dry mediums. Each art class we talk about art fundаmеntals - composition, tonal value, color theory. We also study art history - world famous artists, art movements and we have some themes about Multicultural celebrations. In this nurturing and inclusive environment, young artists celebrate each other's unique talents, regardless of experience. Our engaging classes revolve around the exploration of art fundamentals and the discovery of exciting techniques using an extensive array of materials. From acrylic and watercolour to oil and soft pastels, coloured pencils, markers, gel pens, paper/fabric collages, and modelling clay – the possibilities are as diverse as the imaginations of our young artists. In some sessions, we even blend these mediums together, unveiling the magic of mixed media artworks. Structured as a step-by-step process, our classes ensure that all students progress together, building on their creations as a unified class. We start by learning how to draw compositions, and then we delve into the world of various mediums, encouraging creativity in a supportive community. Additionally, our young artists are introduced to art history, drawing inspiration from world-famous artists and influential artistic movements. Join us on this delightful artistic journey where every brushstroke and idea is celebrated, fostering a love for creativity that will last a lifetime." Spring Art Classes 2024 includes 10 art classes. Mondays 6:30 pm / April 15 - June 24, 2024 / Kitchener No class on May 20. 1 class = 1 hour. All supplies provided. Spots are available! Cancellation Policy

Cancellation: No refunds! Art credit is available for the next classes / camps. Late registrations are accepted. Art classes - you can join us any time and pay for the remaining classes or have make-up classes. If you miss a class during a session, you'll have a make-up class. Art camps - you can register during an art camp week for the remaining day(s) or half-day(s). If minimum participant numbers have not been reached by 2 weeks prior to the start of Art classes/camp, you will be notified and Art classes/camp will need to be canceled.
