Winter is knocking on our doors! This is the perfect time of year to sign up for our Winter Art Classes, allowing you to make the most of your time indoors and enjoy the coziness of the season! If you've been looking for a way to brighten up the cold months, this is the perfect opportunity to warm up your creativity and shake up some good vibes! Designed for artists of all levels, from beginners to experienced creators, our classes are offered for children, teens, and adults. Plus, we're offering new courses this year at Yulia Artspace, with fresh new techniques and materials. Whether you want to explore painting, drawing, or mixed media, now is the time to enroll and make the most of your winter!

Kids Winter Art Classes

If you have a little artist looking to kickstart their creative journey, we offer a vast variety of classes to help them start off! Exploring a variety of mediums, from watercolor, gouache, soft pastels, clay, and natural textures, a world of possibilities is offered to your little ones as they enter the world of artistry.

Our Winter Art classes for Kids 6-8 y.o. are the perfect combination of learning and play. Not only do your little ones learn foundational techniques such as shading, composition, and colour mixing, but they also explore a variety of mediums, including paint, pastels, and mixed media, to express themselves. Plus, we explore a different seasonally-inspired project every week, so there's always something to keep your artist entertained and progressing their creative flair! It's the perfect opportunity for them to meet new friends, refine their abilities, and have lots of fun during the winter months! Choose between Monday sessions, offered from January 5 – March 30, 2026 at 6:30pm, or Saturday sessions, from January 10 - March 28, 2026 at 11:15am.

Does your kiddo love arts and crafts? Our Fantasy Color Clay for Kids 6-12 y.o. is just the thing for them! Inviting kids to craft their very own fantasy creatures, kids will explore the flexible medium of plasticisne to build their 3D awareness. The class is the perfect space for little ones to collaborate make friends, as they work together to share ideas and create fantastical stories based on their magical makings. It's the perfect way to brighten up the cold winter months! Classes are offered every Wednesdays, from January 7 – February 11, 2026, at 5:15pm.

If string is more their thing, check out our brand new Weaving Classes for Kids 6-12 y.o! Here, kids will be introduced to the beauty of yarn and its many textures, color, and patterns. Transforming the simple material into unique woven artworks, we'll create wonderful decorations using looms, all while encouraging your kiddo's patience, focus, and creative problem-solving—plus, your child will strengthen their fine motor coordination and hand–eye control. It's all about having fun while working, and this course offers the perfect oppertunity to do so. Offered every Wednesdays at 5:15, we begin on February 18 – March 25, 2026.

For smaller kids, we offer Winter Art classes for Kids 3-5 y.o., which are perfect for launching your child into the world of creating. Exploring colors, shapes, and imaginations, these classes are crafted to help enhance your little artist's curiosity. Using soft and safe materials, including paint, pastels, clay, paper collage, fabric, and natural textures, the classes blend sensory experiences with visuals crafting, as we create beautiful, seasonally-inspired artworks that are oh-so-fun! Classes are offered on Sundays, from January 11 – March 29, 2026, at 2:30pm.

And for even tinier tots, how about our Winter Art classes for Toddlers 2.5+? Through hands-on play, we explore the world of painting, drawing, gluing, stamping, and sculpting. We'll navigate the world of colors, shapes, and line, building fine motor skills to help them create with precision. Not only is the class designed to craft beautiful artworks that will make the perfect decoration for any space, but it is also the perfect way to make you kiddo's first steps into independece, as they learn to work alongside peers, share their space, and collaborate in a kind atmosphere. Classes are offered every Mondays, from January 5 - March 30, 2026, at 9:30am.

Teen Winter Art Classes on sale

Do you have a teen who loves making beautiful artworks or simply expressing themselves through their craft? Our winter art classes are the perfect oppertunity for this! We offer courses for both experienced teens and new learners, so there's something for everyone to enjoy.

If your child likes experimenting with different techniques and mediums, our Winter Art classes for Kids 9-12 y.o. offers just the thing for them! Using paint, pastels, and mixed media, we'll be delving into foundational techniques to kickstart or improve your teen's artistic abilities; from shading to composition, this class offers the building blocks to professional-looking art. Plus, creating seasonally-inspired artworks, from cozy indoor scenes to frosty landscapes, artists will learn to be inspired from the world around them, strengthening their creative brain and sharing new ideas with peers. Every class is different, so there's something for everyone to enjoy! Two sessions are offered per week: on Wednesdays, from January 7 - March 25, 2026, at 6:30pm, or on Mondays, from January 5 - March 30, 2026, at 5:15pm.

Do you know someone who loves storytelling? Maybe you're a teen who loves graphic novels? Our Create Your Own Comic! for Teens 11+ is the perfect class for you! In this 10-week course, artists will bring their characters and stories to life, learning the ins and outs of expressive drawing, storytelling, and dynamic page design. We'll work from a first sketch, refining it using a variety of mediums like paint, pencils, and pastels, to create a final professional-looking product that can be proudly shared with friends and family. It's the ideal class for beginning and continuing artists as we learn skills to improve your teen's abilities to accurately draw and convey meaning to readers! Classes are offered every Tuesdays, from January 6 - March 10, 2026, at 5:30pm.

If you know someone who loves to draw, we've got just the thing: Sketching Classes for Kids 9-12 y.o.! In this class, we work with graphite, charcoal, colored pencils, and pastels to practice foundational drawing techniques, such as hatching, blending, and layering to create depth and texture. Using this new creative knowledge, artists will explore a variety of subject matters inspired by the winter season, combining both observation and creativity, in order to not only build their abilities to draw realistically, but also to generate their very own artistic style. In a warm atmosphere, participants will share tips, have conversations, and make new friends! Classes are offered ever Saturdays, from January 10 - March 28, 2026, at 10am.

Adult Winter Art Class

Are you looking to explore your creativity as an adult? Our adult winter classes are designed to help you enhance your skills, whether you're a beginner or an experienced creator. Each class is designed to boost your creativity in a relaxed setting with a new projects every session, making it simple for you to try new methods or pick up old hobbies!

Do you love the look of watercolour? If so, you're in luck! Our Winter Watercolor Classes For Adults are back in session, and this time, we'll be exploring how to use the medium to craft beautiful winter scenes. Escape the cold and let watercolor fill your evenings with warmth and creativity, as we begin with simple projects to build confidence, and progress into beautiful, complex paintings that will amaze all your friends and family! We'll touch on foundational skills such as composition, tonal value, and color mixing in order to grow your art into not just practice, but a lasting hobby. Classes are offered every Thursdays, from January 8 – February 26, 2026, at 5:30pm.

If you're more of a drawing lover, you'll love our Winter Sketching for Adults! Using drawing tools such as graphite, charcoal, and pen, and colored materials like pastel, colored pencils, and pens/marker, we'll explore different modes of drawing, from realism to expressionism. You'll encounter different foundational techniques to help you grow beyond the classroom, as we work with composition and proportion, but also learn to create texture and contrast, such as light, shadow, and form. Every class explores a different project inspired by the season, so your can draw inspiration from the world around you and make beautiful creations. Two sessions are offered on Fridays, at 12:30: from January 9 – February 13, 2026, or from February 20 – March 27, 2026.

Acrylic paint is a beautifully flexible material, and our Winter Acrylic for Adults is the best way to try your hand at it! Exploring essential painting techniques and the expressive side of acrylics through color, texture, and form, our classes offer step-by-step instructions to produce beautiful, winter-inspired works or art. Learn how to use brushes and paint knives to create texture and impasto that will add flair to your works, and ways to add depth and realism to paintings. Plus, explore your creative side through experessionist paintings, where you'll get the chance to experiment with art styles as find your very own! Classes are offered on Fridays, from February 20 - March 27, 2026, at 5:30pm.

One of the best things about art is how it can be used as an outlet to share your emotions. Our Winter Expressive Art For Adults is perfect for teaching you how to do this, made for everyone who wants to step outside the box, let go of control, and express themselves freely through art. In a no-rule art space, you'll let your imagination run wild by focusing on a a method—such as form, line, colour, or texture—and use it for creative expression. Exploring techniques like collage, watercolor, or doodles offers the ideal space for imagination to run wild. The class is designed to be feel-good and positive, as you connect with peers and branch off from the hustle and bustle of the daily, busy life schedule. Classes are offered on Fridays, from January 9 – 30, 2026, at 5:30pm.

Want to connect with the material? Our Fantasy Clay Horse for Adults offers just the thing, as we explore the world of clay to craft beautiful sculptures that make the perfect gift or decoration! Learn about proportions and the world of paint markers as we create beautiful, one-of-a-kind horses that are playful, whimsical, and full of personality! It's all about having fun while making something beautiful. Classes are offered on Fridays, on February 6 and 13, 2026, at 5:30.

Many adults combine studio classes with our online lessons for weekly practice. These classes offer short, easy-to-follow sessions with clear steps that are perfect for self-initated learning.
